The standards and trade group for PC Cards used in portable computers. Plenty of information about PCMCIA 16-bit and CardBus PC Cards, SmartMedia, and Miniature Cards. The acronym stands for Personal Computer Memory Card International Association, but some say it's really: People Can't Memorize Computer Industry Acronyms.
